How do I wear a 3 ply face mask correctly?
Hold it with the coloured side out and the nose clip at the top. Loop it over your ears, then press the clip around your nose. Pull the pleats down below your chin. Avoid touching the front, and replace it when it gets damp.
Is a 3 ply face mask the same as an N95?
No. A 3 ply mask protects others from your droplets and blocks splashes, but it fits loosely. An N95 seals to the face and filters at least 95% of airborne particles. Use N95 masks for high-risk care such as TB wards.
