How to prime an infusion set
Close the roller clamp. Spike the bag and hang it on a stand. Squeeze the chamber until it is half full. Open the clamp slowly and let fluid push out all air. Close the clamp and connect to the cannula.

With a 20-drop set, one litre over eight hours runs at about 42 drops per minute. One litre over twelve hours runs at about 28 drops per minute. Check the rate after any change in position.
