Description
Babies, elderly patients, chemotherapy and dialysis patients often have veins that are hard to see or feel. Missed sticks cause pain and delay treatment.
This infrared vein finder uses near-infrared light, which blood absorbs more than tissue. The device then projects the vein pattern onto the skin, so you see where to insert the cannula. Try colour modes to suit skin tone and room light.
Use it in NICUs, paediatrics, oncology, dialysis, emergency rooms, phlebotomy labs and aesthetic clinics.
- Not ideal for: deep veins beyond 10 mm or arterial lines. Ultrasound guidance suits those.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get the price?
Tap the Get a Quote on WhatsApp button or message 0333-4351637. Send the model, quantity and your city. We reply within 4 hours with a live quote, stock status and delivery time. We do not list prices on the site. Rates change often, so each vein finder quote we send is current.
How does an infrared vein finder work?
Near-infrared light shines on the skin. Blood in the veins absorbs more of this light than the tissue around it. The device detects the pattern and projects it back onto the skin as a map. You then see where veins run before inserting the needle.
Is the vein finder safe for babies?
Yes. It uses near-infrared light, makes no contact and gives no radiation. Many NICUs and children's wards use vein finders to reduce repeated sticks. Do not shine any light directly into a baby's eyes. Clinical staff should still follow their own cannulation protocols.
Why does the vein finder have seven colour modes?
Different skin tones, body hair and room lighting change how clearly the vein map shows. Switching colours lets staff pick the clearest view for each patient. Try a few modes on the first patients to learn which suits your ward and lighting.
